Safety training is generally considered to be stale after 3 years, so we encourage everyone to refresh their training every 3 years. Individuals who have not been actively performing tire service work may also require a refresher.
CVWS Training was founded in Ontario in 1996 and is mandatory for persons removing or replacing wheels and rims on motor coaches, heavy trucks or truck-trailers. Occupational health and safety regulations require similar training in other Canadian provinces and territories.
CVWS training is offered at 4 different levels.
Improperly serviced or installed wheels can cause failures with tragic results. Understanding the risks and potential consequences ensures technicians exercise the necessary care while performing repairs, service work and installation.
CVWS was founded in 1996 by Rolf VanderZwaag and the
Ontario Trucking Association.
